Social activist beaten to pulp in Mahore

Reasi, May 16: In a bizarre incident a social activist has been beaten to pulp after he raised the issue of embezzlement in the distribution of uniforms in government schools. Police have registerted a case in this regard.
As per police sources, one Abdul Majeed (50) was beaten roughly in full public view and later was shifted to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment for his fractures. "A complaint was also lodged in this regard following which a case against FIR No: 41/2015 u/s 341/326/382/323 RPC has been registered at Police Station Mahore," police sources said.
During investigation by a police team led by SDPO Mahore, DySP Ayaz Sheikh it came to fore that the social activist recently raised a matter that some employees of Government Middle School Chachi Mahore along with staff of Zonal office and some local panchayt representatives embezzled an amount of Rs 42500/ in the name uniform distribution to students ironically same were never distributed.
"It was also revealed that the said amount stand released by ZEO Office since November 2014 but uniform distribution has not been made till now, police sources said, adding, "while investigation in this case is also on to nail down the culprits.
