Teen among three killed in two separate road mishaps

Rajouri, May 16: A class twelve student of a local institution was among three persons killed in two road mishaps in the vicinity of Rajouri city while other two were injured critically.
Sources in police said that Mohd Asif s/o Noor Hussain of Nadian in Darhal tehsil presently putting up at Rajouri city and a student of 12th class was crushed to death in the afternoon today in a road mishap.
Police sources said the teen was riding on a scooter while on his way to Rajouri his scooter had a head on collision Tata 407 truck bearing registration No JK11-4927 near Bathooni on Jammu-Poonch highway at about 2 pm. Police have seized the truck and arrested the driver, police said adding, "the driver has been booked him under sections 279 and 304-A RPC."
In another mishap that took place at about 11.30am on Friday, two persons were killed while two others injured critically when the tipper in which they were travelling skidded off the road near Pathan Mora in the vicinity of Rajouri city.
All the four resident of village Karaian under Rajouri police station had gone to collect bricks and the driver, reportedly had consumed wine, lost the control over brick laden tipper bearing registration No JK11-2085 and it skidded off the road and fell 50 feet deep gorge. The deceased have been identified as Sanjay Kumar s/o Pooran Chand and Suresh Kumar s/o Sat Pal while the injured who were rushed to district hospital by the police and locals have been identified as Sohan Lal and Neetu Kumar. In both the mishaps police have registered cases and have started investigations.
