Poonch, May 16: Pooch police today claimed to have achieved a major success by arresting a gang of burglars who are allegedly involved in several burglaries across the district Poonch reported in recent past. Police spokesperson said that some unidentified stole a bag containing cash and valuables from a shop in Parade Poonch on May 7. "Taking cognizance in this regard, a police team comprising Mujeeb-Ul-Rehman DySP Hqrs Poonch, Sheezan Bhat DySP (Ops) Poonch, Inspr Jatinder Raina SHO Police Station Poonch, Sub Inspr Kapil Manhas and Sub Inspr Mohd Yaqoob under the overall supervision of Jatinder Singh Johar, SSP Poonch started investigation in this regard, police said. Police said, "Working on various credible leads Police Poonch lifted four alleged accused namely Mumtaz Ali s/o Abdul Rehman of Bhatidhar, Mohd Shabir s/o Qamar Din of Chaktroo presently at Degwar Maldyalan, Mohd Farooq s/o Mohd Aslam of Chandak presently at Degwar Maldyalan and Mohd Ishaq s/o Mohd Din of Degwar Maldyalan." Police said, "Police put them on sustained questioning and on their disclosures, Police has so far recovered 43,000/- rupees alongwith documents. A case stands registered in this regard at concered police station. |
