Bovine smuggling bid foiled, two held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 16: Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid with the arrest of two bovine smugglers in Jajjar Kotli locality and rescued six bovines, during naka checking on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway "Two bovine smuggler identified as Mohd Saleem s/o Mohd Rafiq of Gole Gujral Jammu and Javed Ahmed s/o Ghulam Ali of Parnote Ramban were arrested on spot, police sources said. As per police reports, during intervening night one Mahindra Pick-up bearing registration JK14-3023 was intercepted by a police team. "The vehicle was loaded with six bovines which were being transported without requisite permission/documents and accordingly police lodged FIR No. 47/2015 u/s 188/RPC 3PCA Act and seized the vehicle, he added. The arrest was made by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Hilal Azhar under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan and Shiv Kumar Chouhan Incharge SP Rural and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand. |
