Jammu, Aug 12: Inter School district level competitions in the discipline of Tennis Cricket, Handball (Boys) Badminton, Handball U-19 yrs Girls, gets underway at Green field Gandhi Nagar, Indoor Hall M.A Stadium Jammu and Dogra Ground Shastri Nagar respectively.
Earlier, in the 1st semi final of Tennis Cricket, DPS Jammu beat RRL Jammu by seven wickets and in the second semi-final, BSF beat SRML by 21 runs. In the final of Tennis Ball Cricket BSF paloura scored 37 runs for the loss of 3 wickets and in reply DPS scored only 36 runs for the loss of 5 wickets and lost the match to BSF Paloura by 1 run. Ritik of BSF Paloura scored15 runs and Navjot of BSF Paloura scored13 runs while Aryan and Musaif scored 13 and 11 runs respectively. The tournament is being organised by the department of Youth Services & Sports as a part of Annual calendar of sports activates under the supervision of Madan Lal Joint Director Youth Services & sports and Sukhdev Raj Sharma, District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Jammu. Today detailed results were: Handball U-19 Boys, 2nd S.F: SRML HSS beat K.C Gurukul by 7-4 goals, Final: SRML v/s BSF Paloura will be played tomorrow.
In Handball U-19 Girls,
1st S.F: Govt. GHSS beat BSF paloura by 7-2 (Karuna & Rishika of best scorer) and
2nd S.F: Presentation Convent beat SOS by 6-2 (Anushka Sharma best scorer).
Badminton U-19 Girls: 1st S.F: MHAC Nagbani beat APS Miran Sahib by 2-0
In Singles: Shivali beat Taruna by 21-5, 21-13
In Doubles: Shivali and Shakshi beat Taruna and Amisha by 21-3,21-13
2nd S.F: Presentation Convent beat RRL by 2-1 set
In Singles: Jasleen beat Aarya by 21-9, 21-3
In Doubles: Maniya and Dodda beat Palak and Aarya by 21-3, 21-15
