NIA to shoot official letter to Pakistan
Udhampur terror attack

Kishtwar, Aug 12: After getting 14 days custody of arrested Pakistani militant involved in August 5, 2015 Udhampur terror attack killing two BSF personnel and injuring 11 others, the National Investigating Agency Chief Sharad Kumar today quizzed Naved alias Qasim alias Usman Khan, a resident of Faisalabad Pakistan for two hours at Joint Interrogation Center (JIC) Miran Sahib Jammu.
As per the details available with "Early Times", NIA Chief Sharad Kumar personally quizzed the arrested Pakistani militant Usman Khan who has so far given conflicting statements to the investigators. The sources said that the information given by the arrested Pakistani militant to the interrogator has so far not fully correlated with the facts on ground .
"We are verifying and ascertaining the truth" said NIA Chief Sharad Kumar and left for Udhampur to visit the spot and to interact with the eyewitnesses and the locals. After visting Udhampur, Kumar also met the senior officials of Jammu and Kashmir police before he left for Delhi.
Meanwhile the NIA sources informed the "Early Times" that NIA will officially take up the matter with Pakistan government.
In reply to question that Pakistan has already denied that Naved alias Usman Khan was a Pakistani citizen, the NIA sources said that nothing was officially communicated to Pakistan till date.
"He is well trained and is dodging the investigating agencies" said NIA sources, adding that the final decision with regard to shifting of Usman Khan to Delhi for scientific tests will be taken in a day or two.
The sources said that after questioning Usman Khan and meeting with senior police officials at Jammu, NIA Chief returned back to Delhi where he (Sharad Kumar) will brief the Union Home Secretary and the PMO regarding the progress of the case and the achievements during the eight days of investigation by NIA and J&K police, .
Meanwhile unconfirmed reports said that Lashkar planned to hijack the passenger plane from well guarded Srinagar and Jammu airports so that many top rank terrorist of various militant organizations lodged in various jails of India could be freed, besides also planning to kidnap the top rank politicians and target Jammu and Kashmir civil along side high profile security installation.
It is pertinent to mention that the investigation by NIA so far revealed the hand of Talah Saeed son of India's most wanted fugitive Hafiz Saeed, besides it also comes to fore that a Kashmiri businessman of Lal Chowk gave Rs. 5 lakh to Lashkar operative for running terror activities after he along with other cross into Jammu and Kashmir.
