Jammu, Aug 12: "The BJP would gain people’s sympathy if it honours its commitment at the earliest. Any delay on its part would not be in its own interest. The ACC is not against any political party, as it is non-political movement being supported by all prominent civil society groups and various organizations which control trade, commerce, industry, transport and hotel industry", said chairman AIIMS CC and president JKHCBA, Jammu, Abhinav Sharma while addressing the gathering at the dharna sthal on High Court Road, here today. He further said, "We are non-political. We are fighting for establishment of AIIMS in Jammu. We are getting unstinted and unqualified support from all quarters and we welcome it. We have even appealed to political parties to support the ongoing movement and our doors are open to all", Abhinav Sharma said, adding that the ACC would give all credit to the BJP if it fulfills its written commitment and gets a notification for setting up of AIIMS in Jammu from Government of India, without wasting any time. The ACC is religiously committed to getting an AIIMS for Jammu. It has no political axe to grind. I hope that people of Jammu, cutting across party lines would join the Independence celebrations, organized by AIIMSCC, in large numbers, said Abhinav Sharma and also informed the audience that number of District Bar Associations of Jammu Province have decided to extend the strike till August 16th.
