Srinagar, Oct 9: In reply to AQ. No 218 of MLA Ramban Neelam Langeh, the Minister of Social Welfare in a written reply informed that there are 174879 pending cases of old age, widow and other pensions which are registered with the department but are not getting the pension. Under National Social Assistance Program 87840 cases are pending under IGNOAPS, 4699 cases under IGNWPS and 2482 cases under IGNDPS while under Integrated Social Security Scheme, 44875 old age pension cases, 16425 widow cases and 18558 disabled pension cases are pending with the government of Jammu and Kashmir. In order to clear all the pension related cases, the government has taken up the matter with Ministry of Rural Development Department Government of India and also to State Finance Department for early clearance. |
