Jammu, Oct 9 : SM Shishu Niketan Higher Secondary School celebrated 'World Post Day' in the school on Friday.
The day was celebrated in presence of Managing Director Parneesh Mahajan, Liaison Officer Harvinder Singh Sihotra, Principal Manikarnika Bhasin, Co-ordinator Kawaljeet Kour and othe Staff members.
The function started with the special assembly in which teachers gave demonstration regarding the occasion and students delivered speech related to role played by the postal sector. The students were dressed up in Postman costume depicting their personality as a useful public servant and a source of joy to all.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahajan said that the motive behind celebrating Post Day is to create awareness of the role of The Postal Sector in people's and businesse's everyday life and its contribution. He further said that the post is the oldest medium of communication, one that still plays a key role in the sending of information and goods. |
