Jammu, Oct 9: State Pensioners Association (SPA) today demanded release of six per cent of DA in favour of retired government employees.
According to press release, a meeting was held under leadership of Madan Lal Abroal General Secretary of the association.
Speaking on the occasion Abroal has made a strong plea that government has not released six percent DA from July 2015, which is lying with since January 1, 2006 to end June 2009 of 6th Pay Commission. He said that the Govt. should release the DA as earlier as possible as the cost of the commodities has been raised 100%. All the members stressed upon the Government particularly to the Minister of Finance Hasib Drabu take this matter in his hand. They also requested the Finance Minister the medical allowance to the pensioners be raised from Rs. 300 per month to 1000 per month. Who attended the meeting were Yash Paul Sanson, Raj Kumar Banathia, Puran Chand Khajuria, Mohammad Shafi, Des Raj Sharma, Jagdish Dogra, Bushan Pargal, Dev Raj Gupta and others. |
