Chuni Lal Bhat elected new President of HWSK | | | Early Times Report srinagar, Oct 9: Chuni Lal Bhat has been unanimously elected as the new President of Hindu Welfare Society Kashmir (HWSK) while as M L Zutshi would continue to be the Senior Vice President of the Society. In a press release issued here, a spokesman of HWSK said that a meeting of the office bearers of the HWSK was held under the chairmanship of M L Zutshi who was earlier senior vice-president of HWSK. The meeting was held to elect the new President and also the other office bearers of the Society. "During the meeting it was unanimously decided that Chuni Lal Bhat would be the new President of HWSK. Bhat's name was proposed by Zutshi and it was supported by all the other members who were present during the meeting. The names of other office bearers were also decided during the meeting," said the spokesman. The spokesman said that while Zutshi would be the new Senior Vice-President, Avtar Krishen Ganjoo would be the new general secretary of HWSK. He said that Balji Pandita would be the new secretary of the Society; Vinod Koul would function as the Accounts In-charge/Cashier of HWSK. The new President while sharing his views after being elected said that he would leave no stone un-turned in ensuring that HWSK comes up as the real and genuine voice of the Kashmiri Pandits putting up in Kashmir. He sought full cooperation from all the members so that the problems being faced by Kashmiri Pandits are projected in right manner. |
