One held with 300 gm charas | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 7: In continuation to the ongoing special drive against drug menace, Police arrested one more drug peddler alongwith 300 gram of contraband (charas) packed in Maize covers. Police have identified the accused as Sanjeev Kumar s/o Sat Paul Sharma of 91 Sec-7 Lower Roop Nagar Muthi Jammu. "On specific information a special team led by Inspector Ashwani Sharma, SHO Bakshi Nagar, in-charge Police Post Sarwal SI Vikas Hans, SI Mukthyiar Ali under the supervision of SDPO West DySP Vivek Shekhar laid a naka near Bakshi Nagar Pulli and intercepted Sanjeev for his suspicious movements," police sources said. They said during his frisking police team recovered contraband weighing 300gms packed in maize covers (popularly called as Challi) from his possession. A case under FIR No 144/2015 u/s 8/20 NDPS stands registered against accused and further investigation is in progress Police sources added that the overall operation was coordinated by SSP Jammu Uttam Chand, SP City North Shiv Kumar Chouhan and was conducted overall command of DIG JKS Range. |
