SSP's SPO-turned-PSO all powerful in Police Deptt 11/8/2015 12:24:25 AM Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 7: A SPO-turned-PSO of a Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) enjoys so much of clout in his department that the latter's subordinates approach him to seek favours from the senior police officer. The PSO (personal security officer) of the SSP is said to be very close to him for unknown reasons. He was a simple SPO (special police officer) but the SSP got him regularised, using his influence in the department, police sources said. After the SSP got posted in a Central agency on deputation, he also got the "favourite" PSO transferred to the Central agency along with him. "All the confidential works of the officer are being done by the PSO," sources informed. Sources said the PSO was spotted with him when the officer was in the State in connection with the investigation of an important case. "The SSP now wants to stay in Jammu as head of the Central agency," the sources added. Sources said due to his proximity with the senior officer, the latter's subordinates, mostly officers, "approach him to get their works done".
