More than 30,000 attend PM's rally in Sgr | Mufti expresses gratitude | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Nov 7: More than thirty thousand people turned up to attend the rally of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at SK Stadium here on Saturday. Witnesses said that people started assembling outside the rally venue from early morning and their number swelled along with the passage of time. Sources revealed that two PDP leaders from Srinagar managed to get in thousands of people, while thousands of people from north Kashmir also reached the venue well in time. " The SK Stadium can accommodate nearly 30,000 people, besides Stadium being houseful hundreds of people listened to the Prime Minister Modi outside the Stadium," said a police official. He said we were expecting nearly 20,000 people but our guesses proved wrong. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his speech made a mention about the thousands of people who had come to listen to him and expressed his gratitude for making to the venue. The Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed expressed his heart-felt gratitude to people for having turned out in large numbers to attend Prime Minister, Narendra Modi's rally. In a statement the Chief Minister said, "The huge influx of people was a reflection of the unflinching trust and confidence the people have in the coalition government in the state. I thank the people for turning out in massive numbers for the two public meetings, which is an indication of people's faith and their aspiration of a positive change emerging on the ground," he added. |
