GHPS clinches Rangoli Competition 11/7/2015 11:40:08 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 7 : To honour talent of young students and for providing them an apt platform, Guru Harkrishan Public School Nanak Nagar Jammu held a Rangoli Competition on the theme 'Happiness' here on Saturday. Around 60 students from seven schools participated in the competition which was categorized in two segments including senior and junior levels. Proprietor of Sajan Traders, Amreek Singh and his wife were the Chief Guests on the occasion while Chairman GHPS Bhupinder Singh was the special guest. The adjudicators include renowned artist Satpal Deol, Amreek Singh and Bhupinder Singh. In senior category, first prize was bagged by Guru Harkrishan Public School, second by Shiksha Niketan School Jeewan Nagar and the third prize was clinched by Cooperative School. In the junior category, Cooperative Public School topped the competition while GHPS Nanak Nagar was adjudged second and third slot was secured by Caramel Convent Kunjwani. Speaking on the occasion, Principal GHPS Rita Popli said that such events inculcate confidence among the pupil and prepare them to face today's competitive world with a firm stand.
