Skeletal of alleged misappropriations of fund by officials coming out in 'sequel '

Rajouri, Nov 7: The skeletal of alleged misappropriations of fund by officials in education department is coming out of cupboards one after the other as a sequel as another incident is reported at a Govt Primary School just after few days when a Headmaster of Govt Girls High School at Leeran, in Darhal Education Zone in Rajouri district refused to hand over the cash book to investigating team over allegations of misappropriation of school funds
According sources Chief Education Officer (CEO) along with Nagesh Sharma, HoD, DIET paid surprise visit to Primary School Pharwala in Baljarallan (Education Zone) and found that against actual enrollment of 3-6 students the school staff has shown 21 students on roll and were misappropriating the school funds including mid day meal fund, free text book and free uniforms, scholarship money etc.
Chief Education Officer, Ch Altaf Hussain on spot ordered to emerge the school (temporarily) with the nearest Govt Middle School at Charan.
Sources said, "Teacher Khalida Parveen along with students was directed to report at middle school and concerned Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) was asked by the CEO to investigate the matter and to submit the report within two days for further legal action against the erring teachers."
Sources said that following directions of CEO, a team from DIET again visited the school and found Noor Hussain on duty while Khalida was on unauthorized absent and 3 students were present in the school."
"On November 6, CEO along with Nagesh Sharma paid a surprise visit to this school to verify the complaints and again found only three students and Khalida Parveen present in the school while Noor Hussain again was found on unauthorized absent," sources added.
Sources said the teacher Noor Hussain was directed to report at middle school at Hubbi in Kotranka Education Zone till further orders/directions.
"ZEO, Baljarallan has been directed to inquire into the fictitious roll of Pharwala primary school with regards to mid day meal consumption, scholarship disbursement and supply of free uniforms/text books and submit fact finding report within two days so that displinary proceedings against the erring teachers may be initiated" said CEO.
Here it needs to mention that in an another case of possible misuse of education funds the former officiating Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) of Khawas Education Zone has not handed over the office records to the new ZEO for the last five months .
"In the month of June this year ZEO, Khawas vide his office letter NoZEO/Kh/97-99 has brought the matter into the notice of Cheif Education Officer (CEO), sources added.
The then CEO didn't respond in this matter for the reasons best known to him ,but the present CEO, Ch Alraf Hussain on November 2 has directed headmaster of high school Khag-1 to hand over the official record to the ZEO without any further delay and Head Master High School Khah-1 was given the temporary charge of ZEO, Khawas Education Zone.
