NPP holds protest to exhort PM to fulfill aspirations of Jammu region in Kashmir | | | early times report Jammu, Nov 7: Exhorting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fulfill all the aspirations of Jammu region during his Kashmir address, Panthers Party activists held protest outside Raj Bhawan, Jammu on Saturday. Addressing gathering Balwant Singh Mankotia State President JKNPP exhorted PM Narendera Modi to fulfill the political promise doled out to the people of Jammu region on the subject of Delimitation of Assembly Constituencies. He maintained that Jammu Province had 37 Assembly seats whereas Kashmir Valley had 46 Assembly seats despite former having a larger area than the latter. He added that if the delimitation process was held, Jammu province would be liberated from the socio political discrimination which would usher the region into an era of development and progress. He urged the Prime Minister to announce the comprehensive settlement package for over one million POJK Refugees of 1947, along with conferment of State Subject Rights for nearly one lac West Pak Refugees of 1947 who had been left in lurch by the successive State and Central governments. He also demanded the relief and compensation package for 2200 families of Talwara Migrants (Jammu Migrants) at par with Kashmiri Migrants in consonance with the Supreme Court orders. He further exhorted PM to announce the package for the construction of shelters for the affected families in safer zones besides comprehensive relief and compensation package for the farmers and the border residents. He demanded the employment and tourism package for Jammu region which could provide employment opportunities to the youth besides succor to the temporary employees and daily wagers working in various departments including NYC volunteers, SPOs, ReT teachers, Temporary Teachers, etc. |
