DC Jammu widely hailed for helping destitute | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 14: The Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh has been widely hailed for coming to the rescue of a destitute who was suffering from severe pain in the head. The DC after getting the destitute shifted to GMC Hospital directed the Red Cross Society to take him to the rehabilitation home. The DC acted on the request of Early Times Correspondent Sumit Sharma. The destitute who had developed maggots in his head was crying with pain on a footpath at BC Road after he was hit by an unknown vehicle. DC rang to the Red Cross Society and accordingly a team of Red Cross led by its district Secretary Suresh Sharma reached the spot with the ambulance. The destitute was later shifted to the GMC hospital where GMCH Principal Dr Ganshyam Dev deputed a team of doctors for his surgery. The Red Cross later, assured the DC that after treatment the destitute was shifted to Home for rehabilitation. |
