JU Professor, top officer under scanner for immoral activities 11/15/2015 12:03:40 AM Early Times Report jammu, Nov 14: A senior Professor and a top officer of Jammu University are under scanner for their alleged immoral activities on the campus. According to the sources, the duo has been put under surveillance following a written complaint in this regard to the Governor House, which took cognizance of the allegations and forwarded the complaint letter to Jammu University for a thorough investigation. In the complaint, sources said, there are serious charges against this senior Professor and also against one of the top officers of Jammu University, who were allegedly involved in immoral activities on the campus. The complainant is learnt to have particularly mentioned that the accused Professor and officer were exploiting girls for their lust and a thorough investigation into this may expose such elements, sources added. This is not for the first time that such allegations of immoral activities against an officer or Professor have come to light. A similar letter against the same Professor and some others was in circulation around three years ago. However, the matter was hushed up by then Vice-Chancellor, who did not pursue any probe into the allegations by claiming that the complaint in this regard was anonymous and thus did not require to be investigated. According to the sources, the fresh complaint of immoral activities has been written by a student activist of prominent organization even as he is now refusing to own the same, apparently due to pressure of the Jammu University administration. Even as no formal order has yet been issued for a probe on the basis of complaint, sources said that both the senior Professor and top officer have been secretly put under scanner for investigations into the charges against them.
