Why Beigh, Qarra play Kamaal and Ratanpuri? | Eat in a pot and piss it too! | | Javaid Naikoo Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 14: Senior PDP leaders, Muzaffrar Husain Beigh and Tariq Hamid Qarra have been behaving like National Conference leaders Rattanpuri and Mustafa Kamaal. The duo has serious reservations with the policies of their organisation and skipped the Prime Minister's rally on November 7 as a mark of protest. During the NC-Cong regime Kamaal would fire salvos on the Congress almost daily. Rattanpuri was no different. He had differences with the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah. Rattanpuri was not happy with the attention Devender Rana and Nasir Aslam Wani received from Omar Abdullah. Kamaal was stripped of his post of Chief Spokesperson for `irresponsible' behaviour. Political quarters have accused Beigh and Qarra of `eating in a pot and pissing on it'. According to them, the duo has no courage to seek fresh mandate from the people and continue live under the Chatterchai (patronage) of the Mufties. The duo felt isolated by the inclusion of Dr Drabu and Altaf Bukhari in the council of ministers. Beig has also problems with the education minister, Nayeem Akhter who according to Baig is going to sink the PDP ship. According to insiders, Baig is under a mistaken notion that Mufti wants to replace him with Akhter in North Kashmir. The duo also find it difficult to digest praises hurled by Mufti on Altaf Bukhari. Mufti Sayed, political circles say has been playing his cards well. He has not given much importance to the utterances of the Beigh and Qarra. Yesterday while talking to newsmen, Mufti said Beigh is a senior leader and needs to be heard. |
