JAMMU, Nov 14 : Punjab wrestler, Lalli and Kaka of RS Pura in J&K shared the title bout of the 9th Bhatyari-Bishnah Kesari dangal, organised by Bhatyari Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association at Bhatari in tehsil Bishnah of district Jammu.
Remained undecided after 25 minutes of tough contest, wrestlers competing for the top bout were given away Rs 12,000 cash prize by chief guest, Joint Secretary of the State Sports Council and president of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma. Also present were Surinder Sharma, Bansi Lal Tidyal, Ram Paul Sharma, Sarpanch Surjit Singh and Girdawar Rattan Lal.
In the second main bout, Lallu of Bajrangi Akhara defeated Jakker of Sarore while Nisar of Doda outplayed Sukha of Ludhiana in the fourth bout. Jonny of Amritsar emerged winner in the fourth bout beating Roshan Lal of Muthi. The fifth bout won by Manna of Delhi outplaying Amir Khan of Bajrangi Akhara and the six bout went to Kalu of Bishnah who defeated Jaswant of Mallerkotla in Punjab.
In all, 58 bouts took place in this day-long dangal. Members and technical officials who helped for the conduct of this event included Surinder Sharma (president), Girdhari Lal, Narrayan Dass, Captain Ashok Sharma (Retd.), Kasturi Lal, Pam Paul Sharma, Ashok Kumar, Mohan Lal Sharma, Prem Choudhary, Billu Bhagat, Banna Ram Bhagat, Bansi Lal Tidyal, Prem Kumar Master, Mohd. Fareed, Murli Dhar (Munna), Joginder Sharma, Bittu Bhagat and Sukh Dev Raj (Pappu).
Others Results: - Shinda of Dera Baba Nanak beat Murad Ali of Domana, Babba of Amritsar beat Maan Hussian of R.S. Pura, Inderjeet of Amritsar beat Akram of Chouadi, Jatinder of Attari beat Billa of Domana, Bhalla of Attari beat Vijay of Bai- Bajalth, Munner Khan of Nagrota beat Mohd. Hussian of Bishnah. Bout played between Puran Singh of Ludhiana V/S Deepu of R.S. Pura ended in a draw.
