ESIC wins "ISSA Good Practice Award for Asia & Pacific 2015" in Muscat 11/15/2015 12:28:19 AM Early Times Report New Delhi, Nov 14: The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has won International Award for 'Administrative and Operational Efficiency' at the International Forum of International Social Security Association (ISSA) in the 'ISSA Good Practice Award for Asia and the Pacific' held at Muscat, Oman from Nov 2- 4. According a press statement issued from New Delhi, the regional competition is held every three years and had attracted 48 entries from 16 countries including India. "Deepak Kumar, IAS, Director General, ESIC received the "ISSA Good Practice Award for Asia & Pacific 2015' for ESIC in Muscat, Oman on 2nd November, 2015, the statement said, adding, "the Award recognized the Administrative and Operational efficiency of ESIC in terms new initiatives undertaken which include providing access to doctors across the country right from their home through 24 X 7 help lines, arrangements with number of private hospitals have been made to augment the provision of health care services, redressal of grievances of the stakeholders promptly, transparent inspection policy to eliminate subjectivity in inspections and empower employers to pay contributions online through net banking facility of 58 scheduled banks, as against the earlier provision of just two banks. International Social Security Association (ISSA) is the principal international institution bringing together social security agencies and organizations with an aim to promote dynamic social security as the social dimension in a globalizing world by supporting excellence in social security administration.
