J&K to gets 3117 Crore under 14th FC plan, 373 Crore released for 2016-17

Kishtwar, Feb 16: The State of Jammu and Kashmir is all set to get the Financial Assistance of Rs. 3117 Crore from the central government in next five year under 14th FC plan and out of assured Rs. 3117 Crore, the center has released Rs. 373 crore to the state of Jammu and Kashmir under 14th FC which is scheduled to begin from April 2016.
As per the details available with "Early Times" Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ghulam Nabi Balwan on Monday chaired the meeting of RDD Officials at New DC Office Complex Kishtwar which was also attended by the District Panchayat Officer and the Block Development Officers of various blocks along with supporting staff of all the 13 blocks of Kishtwar District in which the aims and objects set by the government of India under 14th FC plan was discussed in detail.
DC Kishtwar deliberated upon with the officials about the guidelines and funding pattern for various developmental works to be carried out under 14th FC Plan.
During the course of the meeting it was informed that each Panchayat of the District will get an amount of approximately Rs. 75 lacs in next five years under 14th FC and minimum five lacs per year. Moreover 90% funds will be provided on the bases of the population of the Panchayat and remaining 10 % for area of the Panchayat.
Under 14th FC Plan, the government of Jammu and Kashmir is entitled to carry the various developmental works including creation of Revenue resource units, construction of Anganwari buildings, upgradation of burial grounds, cemetery grounds, reservoirs, Parks, Water purifier, Solar plants, Adult literacy Program, vaccination of children's , dispensaries, community halls, skilled development program for unemployed, Fruit plantation, Rain Water harvesting, Roads, electricity, library in schools, computers to be made available to unemployed youths and drinking water related works.
DC Kishtwar emphasized on its employees to organizing the awareness programs in different areas of the District and aware the people about the various developmental programs run by both state as well as union government for the welfare of the people of the District.
He also asked the officials to incorporate the public welfare programs under 14th FC plan so that maximum people get benefits from the government initiatives in next five years.
