Right to free-speech, not national unity important: Congress | JNU anti-India event | | Early Times Report jammu, Feb 16: The Congress, which was rejected by the Indian electorate in the 2014 general election, has turned so perverted that it has started openly siding with those who want to de-link J&K, North East and Kerala from India and break India into pieces. It all started with AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi's February 13 Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) statement that those who objected to the right to free-speech exercised by the anti-nationals at the JNU on February 9 while glorifying two dreaded terrorists of Kashmir origin Maqbool Bhat and Afzal Guru were "more anti-nation". Rahul Gandhi made this anti-national and outrageous statement in the presence of Left leaders like Sitaram Yechury and D Raja while addressing the rebellious JNU students, including those from Kashmir. D Raja's daughter was also allegedly involved in the anti-national event. JNU had on February 9 witnessed a horrible scene with students owing allegiance to Left organizations and such terror outfits as Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad shouting not only pro-Pakistan, pro-Azadi and anti-India slogans what also shouting anti-Mehbooba Mufti, anti-Omar Abdullah and anti-Sajad Lone slogans. Rahul Gandhi was fully aware of the event and what happened that day at the JNU, the epicenter of anti-national activities and a centre that has been producing rebels ever since its inception during the time of Indira Gandhi, but instead of condemning the anti-nationals made common cause with them. He made it loud and clear that for the Congress, right to free-speech, and not the national unity, is important. H, in fact, exposed himself and the Congress in the eyes of the people. And when the authorities swung into action to identify and book those involved in the event, Rahul Gandhi and all the Congress leaders and spokespersons, like the Left leaders and Kashmiri separatists and their supporters in the Kashmiri parties like NC and fake human rights organizations pounced upon the Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, who had instructed the Delhi Police Commissioner not to spare anyone involved in the gory incident. Rahul Gandhi and others of his ilk used very strong language against the Central Government then and thereafter, including on Monday to tell Pakistan, Lashkar chief and other hostile forces across the world that the Congress was with those who stand against India and stand for the separation of J&K, North Eastern States and states like Kerala to become independent of India. It's no wonder then that the entire nation has turned against the Congress, the Left parties and all those who supported, and continue to support, the JNU incident. The enraged nation is demanding stringent action not only against all those who organized and participated in the JNU anti-India event but also against all those who have been supported the anti-nationals. Meanwhile, on Monday, the Delhi Police detained SAR Geelani, who was involved in the Parliament terror attack, but was set free on some technical grounds. Geelani was arrested because he was the one who organized the JNU-like event at the Press Club of India on February 9. It is hoped that the Union Government will bring all the anti-nationals to the book and reassure the nation that it will not discriminate between the Kashmiri and other students who attacked the institution of the Indian State. Action against them has become imperative considering the fact that developments which have been unfolding in the country are very dangerous. |
