SRTC VRS employees demand release of pending dues | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 16: Lambasting the attitude of the previous state government for not fulfilling the promise which was made with the volunteer retired employees of SRTC for one time settlement of their dues, the All J&K SRTC Volunteer Retired Employees Association appealed the Advisor to Governor to do justice with them. Addressing a press conference here today at Press Club of Jammu, the president VRS Union Dev Raj Bali said that despite release of central funds their case remained pending and they are still on roads which is now going on for the last five years to get our genuine right. He said that it is very sorry state of affairs that 12 VRS/GHS employees have also expired in this long struggle as they could not afford good treatments for want of funds. We are unable to understand why this treatment is given to us whereas the central government has released Rs 80,000 crores package for the state but we have not been given our legitimate dues” he said. Bali urged the Advisor to Governor to do justice with the VRS employees of SRTC by releasing their dues. |
