Udhampur, Feb 16: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC), Udhampur, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, a team of officials carried out inspection of various places at Udhampur and adjoing areas identified for development as road sides for fixing poles plantation of trees and the govt infrastructure Udhampur town and its vicinity, encroachments along National Highway and illegal parking in prohibited areas.
The team led by Tehsildar Udhampur Sapna Kotwal comprising XEn PWD Rajesh Gupta, BDO, Municipal Commissioner K K Chanotra and other official during drive also demolished a illegal shop from road side
Pertinently DC Udhampur has instructed the officers of Revenue, PWD, Municipal Council and Urban Local Bodies for immediate removal of illegal encroachments at places identified to de-congest the main town.
Under the presence of Tehsildar Udhampur Sapna Kotwal several places were inspected in town and outskirts of town which includes the Shiv Nagar, Sambal Road, Tirchi, Gandala and others localities and removed encroachments. Besides the people were warned if found violating the rules will face action
Administration has also launched drive against violation of traffic rules and district police is laying nakas to take action against defaulters.
A drive for removal of illegal encroachments and action against illegal parking has been initiated, the official spokesperson said, adding, " the enforcement team led by Tehsildar Kotwal also visited some Govt Schools.
When contacted Tehsildar Udhampur Sapan Kotwal said, "We have continued this drive against illegal encroachers as per order from DC Udhampur Dr Sahaid Iqbal Choudary. We will take action against illegal guilty and demolish illegal structure." |
