Class IV job seekers protest, demand early release of selection list

Rajouri, Feb 16: Irked over the non release of selection list of Class IV jobs in various departments advertised in the year 2009-10, the aggrieved aspirants today stage a protest and demanded earl;y release of the selection list for Class IV at earliest.
Protestors said State government had conducted interviews for Class IV in education and other departments for Nowshera tehsil in Rajouri district.
"Most of the candidates who had appeared in the interviews got over aged/are getting over aged soon but despite a gap of more than 6 years the State government has not released the lists yet, the protestors alleged.
Protestors led by Vinod Sharma , a social activist stage protest and presented a memorandum to Governor through Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajouri seeking his personnel intervention in this matter.
Unemployed over aged youth (who had appeared in the interviews) including Ashok Kumar, Roshan Lal, Gopal Sharma, Som Raj, Vishal Sharma & others were joined by prominent citizens of Nowshera including Shakti Pal Singh, Bindu Choudhry, Ashok Sharma, Captain Ashok Sharma ,Daulat Ram and others.
They lamented that government vide advertisement No.01 dt 22/3/2006 sought applications for the appointment as Class IV employees in various departments and the interviews for the same were held in the year 2009 and it also took four months to complete the process.
They said most of the candidates who had appeared in the interviews are now getting over aged and the Governor should personally intervene into the matter so that the dejected youth may save from further humiliation.
