Drug Peddler held with 'charas' in Thanamandi 3/14/2016 10:23:43 PM Early Times Report Rajouri, Mar 14: As a part of special drive against drug menace launched by District Police, the local Police from Special operation Group (SOG) Thanamandi arrested one narcotics peddler alongwith 'charas' weighing 180 gms which recovered from his possession smuggler Police spokesperson said that the accused has been identified namely as Manwar Ahmed S/O Mohd Bashir R/O Churungh, Thanamandi. "Police team under the supervision of DySP (Ops) Iftkhar Ahmed and SI Mukesh Kumar alongwith Police party of P/S Thanamandi on the directions of SSP Rajouri Rajeshwar Singh laid a special Naka at Churungh bridge Thanamandi and intercepted Manwar Ahmed on suspicion basis. "The accused however seeing the Police party tried to escape but was chased and apprehended, police said, adding that during his frisking 09 Challian of Charas weighing 180 gms were recovered from his possession.
