Shortage of staff hinders implementation of detachment order | | | Bijay Charak

Jammu, Mar 14: Without knowing ground realities the state government had issued orders for detachment of employees in all government offices but the acute dearth of staff in said offices hindering the implementation of such order. Chief Education Office, Samba is the live example where 50 percent staff of the office is lying vacant since the office established. Reliable sources of Education department informed Early Times that district Samba is not an isolated case but the education department offices run in other districts of Jammu division their situation is similar. They further said that on one hand government had issued orders to all district officers to detachment the officials attached in their offices and send them their actual posting but others wants the completion of work in time bound. How is it possible that to completed all work in these offices with a limited staff? Masters who are resident of other districts, were transferred and adjusted against the vacant posts in Jammu by the higher authorities at the behest of corrupt politicians and thus derailing the functioning of whole education Department and debarring justice to the Masters of Jammu "The decision taken by government is good no doubt few employees who were transferred and adjusted against the vacant posts in the offices by the higher authorities at the behest of corrupt politicians", sources said, adding that it was the responsibility of government to fill the vacant posts of employees of these offices, so the work would not suffer and completed timely. In district Samba where Chief Education Office , the post of Accountant, Assistant Accountant, Section Officer, Statistical Assistant, Junior Stenographer are lying vacant for years. The post (legal in-charge) of legal cell of the office are also lying vacant and the wing Sarva Shiksha Abhiyanin (SSA) where five posts were sanctioned by government but still two Junior Assistant catering the wing for years. When contacted Chief Education Officer, Samba, Om Parkash accepted and said that it was difficult to handle all work of the office due to shortage of staff. |
