Govt formation: RSS leader visiting Jammu today | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 14: RSS general secretary (sarkaryavah) Dattatreya Hosabale, who is considered close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be in Jammu for three days. He would reach Jammu on Tuesday and return to Delhi on Thursday. During his stay, he would meet the local Sangh Parivar leadership and also hold a meeting with senior BJP leaders. It bears recalling that Dattatreya Hosabale on behalf of the RSS had at Nagpur hailed the formation of the PDP-BJP coalition Government in the State and termed the formation of the Government as a unique experiment. Insiders say that "he would also meet civil society members to ascertain their views on the prevailing political situation in the State and the performance of the former BJP Ministers and other BJP legislators". Insiders also reveal that "the purpose of his visit to Jammu is not only to gather information about the activities of the RSS in the State but also to discuss the possibility or otherwise of Government formation with the PDP". His visit to Jammu will be significant because he would be coming to Jammu after participating in the three-day-long (Mar 11 to 13) Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) meeting, which was held at Nagaur in Rajasthan. On the last day of the meeting, the issue of Government formation in J&K also came up for discussion. Report from Nagaur suggested that the RSS wanted the BJP to take final call on the Government formation subject to the condition that "nothing was done which could harm the national interest in the State". One report in this regard said: "A threadbare discussion was held on the prevailing political situation in Jammu and Kashmir on the concluding day of the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) meeting at Nagaur in Rajasthan. Top State RSS leaders, Ramesh Pappa (prant pracharak), Brig (retd) Suchet Singh (prant sanghchalak), Purshotam Dadhichi, (prant karyavah) and Ashwani Gupta (prant sahkaryavah) J&K in the meeting, the highest decision-making body of the Sangh Parivar". BJP national general secretary and the party's point-man for the State, Ram Madhav, also attended the meeting on J&K. |
