Avinash Azad Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 14: Proposed investigation into 'altered' norms for appointment of blue eyed to the post Assistant Registrar in University of Jammu, remained confined in papers only, as despite lapse six weeks, the matter has not been forwarded to Crime Branch. According to documents available with Early Times, the matter was to be investigated by Crime Branch. "To get the matter thoroughly investigated vis-a-vis the lapse that has occurred regarding issuance of the interview call letter to the candidate, who had not appeared in the entrance test, the same be referred to the Crime Branch", noting of 109th university of syndicate meeting read. Astonishingly, after lapse of six weeks, as the syndicate meeting was held on January 25, 2016, the matter has not been sent to the Crime Branch for investigation. "The Crime Branch has not received any communication from University of Jammu till date regarding investigation of the matter", sources in Crime Branch told Early Times, adding long back in January it was learnt that the Crime Branch might be asked for investigation. Documents further revealed that since the daughter of the Vice Chancellor was applicant for the post of Assistant Registrar, the matter should be dealt by the Financial Advisor. "In view the fact that daughter of the Vice Chancellor, who is an applicant for the post of Assistant Registrar, it is resolved that the matter henceforth shall be dealt by the FA (universities)", item number 109.61 of the 109th syndicate meeting reads. Sources in JU informed that the matter has not been sent to Crime Branch yet. "The matter is under consideration within the university administration", sources said, adding that the matter might be placed in next syndicate meeting. |
