| Kidnapped girl recovered from Punjab, abductor held | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Mar 14: Police today claimed to have recovered a kidnapped girl and arrested her abductor village Gumna Pind, Dhariwal Punjab during a raid conducted at the hideout of abductor. Further investigation is going in the case.
POlice have identified the accused as Mohd Shafi s/o Karan Din R/o Kandoloo Gandoh, A/P village Gumna Pind Punjab.
According to police spokesperson, a case under FIR No: 90/2015 u/s 363/458 /109 RPC was registered at P/S Bhaderwah following alleged kidnapping of one girl namely Hussan Banoo d/o Ghulam Rasool of Sichal Joura Tehsil Thathri of Doda district.
"The family members have alleged that the girl was reportedly kidnapped by some unknown persons from Dharejja area of Tehsil Bhaderwah, police said.
POlice spokesperson said that Doda Police swung into action and activated the sources as well as enquired from the relatives of kidnapped girl/ villagers and some non-resident villagers residing in other parts of State.
"Meanwhile on the tip-off of reliable sources and Call Detail Reports (CDRs), Doda Police finally raided at village Gumna Pind, Dhariwal Punjab and recovered the kidnapped girl and her abductor Mohd Shafi who was arrested on the spot. POlice have brought the girl and her abductor to Doda and handed over the kidnapped girl to her legal heirs after completing all the codal formalities.
The local have appreciated the police efforts made by SHO P/S Bhaderwah, Inspr Jatinder Singh led by SDPO Bhaderwah under overall supervision of SSP Doda, Z.N Manhas to trace the kidnapped girl.
