Manmohan asks CAPD to ensure adequate ration supply to dealers | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 14: A delegation of Ration dealers of Urban Areas of Jammu District met with General Secretary Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee Thakur Manmohan Singh and apprised him about their difficulties due to non-availability of ration at the Government ration depots. After meeting the delegation, Manmohan Singh said that the ration dealers are not getting adequate ration from the department and there is backlog from the month of January and the people are demanding ration. More over the ration dealers were asked to deposit the money for the month of March in advance but they have not been supplied ration against the amount they deposited so far. The general public blames the ration dealers for the shortage of ration for which they are not responsible. PCC General Secretary also criticized BJP legislators who were given mandate by the people of Jammu with the hope that they will serve them better but unfortunately BJP legislators and leaders have gone into hibernation and miserably failed to serve the people of Jammu. The scale of sugar from 700 grams per soul has been reduced to 500 gms and these are the "ache din "of Modi government, he added. Manmohan Singh urged upon the CAPD department to supply sufficient quantity of ration to the ration dealers and clear the backlog so that the general public may not suffer any more. |
