Mass copying detected in board exam, staff changed | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Mar 14: The entire supervisory staff of 10th class examination centre situated at higher secondary school (HSS), Manjakot, in Rajouri district was today replaced by new staff after the flying squad detected mass copying at the centre. After several complaints of copying, flying squad team paid surprise visit to centre No 4616 and found that out of 85 students appearing in the examination, 35 were involved in unfair means allegedly in nexus with the supervisory staff. Flying squad also framed cases against the student involved in unfair means and brought the matter to the notice of CEO Altaf Hussain. "After detection of mass copying at this centre, the entire supervisory staff, including superintendent and observers, have been replaced and directed to explain their position within two days" the CEO said. The supervisory staff has been asked to explain its position as to why displinary action may not be initiated against them for misuse of their official position while discharging their duties. CEO has also directed principal of Manjakot HSS, who is overall inspector of the centre, to streamline and maintain the sanctity of the examination in future so that the career of students was not put at stake. |
