Jammu, Mar 14 : The students of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) visited Gladini Grid. According to press release, VIth Semester, Electrical Engineer students the College during the visit were demonstrated different Power Distribution Systems, SCADA based Technology and their inter linkages for optimization of desired quality output. The students were briefed about the functioning of Wave Traps, Lightening Arresters, CT-PT, Insulators, Capacitors, & Transformers, Transmission Lines (from Hiranagar, Saran & Salal,J&K). They had an intensive interaction with Er. Rohit Balgotra, Assistant Executive Engineer who explained in detail highly sophisticated SCADA system. Er Rekha Jaroo explained in detail different functions involved in the complex and state-of-the-art technological processes in SCADA. Er. Somesh Sharma, through the line diagram, explained intricate and complex functioning of transmission lines in a very simple yet effective and efficient manner. Er.Rohit Abrol had a very interactive session with the budding technocrats who expressed great satisfaction after learning the latest in the field. The industrial visit was an amazing experience, provided the right exposure and proved to be a definite value addition in their professional knowledge. Er. Dinesh Gupta, COD, Electrical Engineer, who organized the industrial visit, thanked Er.Ashok Gupta, Ex. Engineer TLMD-II, Gladini Grid. AK Koul TPO and Er.
