Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 14: Continuing their protest on the 13th consecutive day, the Jewellers under the banner of various organizations today took out rally and resolved to hold massive protest rally on March 17, at Ram Lila Ground Delhi, if excise duty is not rolled back by or before the D-day. Peryinet to mention the jewelers across the state are protesting in response to call from All India Jewellers Strike since this March 2. Today the Jewellers, Karigars, Swarnkars of Jammu city sat on Dharna at Jain Bazar and then they took out a peaceful rally which passed through Jain Bazar, Lakhdata Bazar, Rajinder Bazar, Shahidi Chowk, Residency Road, Raghunath Bazar, City Chowk, Kanak Mandi and finally culminated at Jain Bazar. Addressing the ralliest, Raman Suri Chairman, Sarafa Association and Swarnkar Sangh Joint Action Committee, informed that the jewelers will hold a grand rally at Ram Lila Ground Delhi on March 17, if Excise Duty is not rolled back before this day. He further said that Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, should listen to the plea of the jewellers and act empathetically towards them to avoid confrontation over issue.
