Jammu, Mar 27: The Jammu Youth Forum (JYF) today flayed the Jammu University (JU) administration for adopting 'Pick and Choose Policy' in conducting transferring officials and effecting other policy decisions.
Addressing a press conference, University Unit President JYF Deepak Kumar Gupta, said that University administration was promoting nepotism and favouritism on the campus by adopting Pick and Choose Policy. He said that Registrar JU seems to have forgotten the rules of transfer policy as there are some employees who are enjoying posting at one place for the last 25 years or so while some are being transferred after three to six months. He further said that several transfers have also been affected in the University and all those were just to fit the favourites at suitable positions to get the desirable output. However, as per transfer policy of the Jammu University "Transfers will normally be made not before two years and generally after three years. Exceptions may, however, be necessary in case of misconduct or bad reputation or for compelling administrative reasons or where in order to enforce a series of transfers some changes are unavoidable". |
