Jammu, Mar 27: SKUAST-J, in collaboration with MIDH organized training programme for farmers. The traning was attended by more than sixty progressive farmers. Dr. Amrish Vaid Programme Coordinator was chief guest where as Dr. P. K. Rai Sr. Scientist was guest of honor. Dr. Vivak M. Arya PI of the project apprised the farmers about the different moisture conservation techniques and their importance in rainfed orchard.
Dr. Arya emphasized that by using different mulching material moisture can be conserved even under moisture stress.He advocated the farmers to use various source of organic material to improve the soil quality. Various resource persons viz. Dr. Vishal Mahajan, Dr. Neerja, Dr. Brajesh and Mr. Sandeep HDO delivered their valuable lectures on various aspects. Programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr. Brajesh. |
