BJP-PDP must come clear on contours of secret pact: Harsh | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 27 : Alleging BJP for using corrupt practices to woo the PDP to form the coalition once again, a battalion of Panthers activists spearheaded by Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP and Yashpal Kundal State President Young Panthers staged a massive protest demonstration at Exhibition Ground Jammu seeking inclusion of Jammu related issues in the CMP before formation of the State government. Expressing dismay over the political stalemate which hovered over the State for two and a half months, Harsh Dev Singh lambasted the BJP for holding the constitution as hostage for its political fortunes. He said that the suspension of the State Assembly for so long had stymied the political regimen and unconstitutionally divested the people of its popular government without any reason. He revealed that reports were doing rounds that the Saffron party had indulged in horse trading, offered enticements and concessions to the PDP for clearing the decks for the government formation in J&K. Flabbergasted by Mehbooba's change of heart for suddenly mellowing down after her initial inhibitions and reluctance to form the government, Singh questioned the BJP that what actually prompted both the parties to come closer to form the government once again. He disclosed that PDP had put unwarranted demands for CBM's before the BJP as conditions to form the government amid the political logjam and apprehensions were rife that the Saffron party had given concessions to its Kashmiri compeers by sacrificing the aspirations of the people of Jammu region. Taking a dig on the BJP for despicably succumbing to the wishes of Mehbooba Mufti, Singh asked both the BJP and the PDP to come clear on the contours of the secret pact or else face the wrath of public fury. |
