| Burglars strike at shop, decamp with items worth lakhs | | |
BANIHAL, June 1: Burglars targeted an electronics goods showroom in Banihal of Ramban district and decamped with costly gadgets worth lakhs. Police said that investigations are on though no arrests have been made so far.
According to police sources, the burglars broke the shutter of a leading electrical shop M/s National Associates Banihal situated at main market Banihal and decamped with large number of costly product from shop. "This is second robbery case in same locality in recent past as earlier thieves struck at M/s Khursheed Kiryana General Store some months ago, sources said, adding now thieves have struck again now in same locality i.e. M/s National Associates late last night." Quoting complainant, the police sources said, "the victim owner of M/s National Associates Khawaja Muzamil stated that majority of products have been stolen "I think this is gang of thieves as a single person can't lift huge number of electronic items in one go," he stated, adding that thieves stole item worth Rs 20 lakh- Rs 30 lakh. Meanwhile Banihal police have registered an FIR 63/2016 u/s 457/380 dtd 01/06/16 and started investigations in this regard.
