Kishtwar, June 1: In order to promote work culture and ensure punctuality of staff in government institutions especially in health and education sectors, Development Commissioner (DC), Kishtwar G. N Balwan today conducted a surprise inspection of a number of schools, hospitals, primary health centers, and other offices of Sub Division Padder and found several employees absent from their duties.
During his surprise visit besides Padder, DC Kishtwar also visited Dool, Padyarna, Kawar Galhar and Shashoo and found the similar situation i.e. absenteeism prevalent in government offices.
"After finding several employees of the different departments absent, the DC Kishtwar sought explanations from their district/Sectoral officers immediately regarding their unauthorized absence from their duties," an official said while sharing details of DC's visit.
Acting on various complaints received from different quarters on the behalf of public, DC Mr Balwan warned the employees that "work culture among employees is my priority and strict action will be taken against the erring employees".
He paid surprise visit to various schools, including ZEO Office Padder and reviewed ongoing educational activities there, which were found in place. He directed all the concerned officers to maintain punctuality and to effectively deliver the services to the needy persons at their door steps.
Responding to appraisal from public that the AEE R&B and JEs- PHE have not been in the area since a month, DC Kishtwar took the serious note on their prolonged absenteeism and asked concerned seniors to take action in this regard. He also instructed to strictly look into the encroachments of the forest land and vacate if any under illegal occupation under laws. Besides this Mr Balwan directed the CA&PD Officials and Tehsildar Padder to look into the grievances of the public for enlisting them in PHH/NPHH and ensured the cent percent coverage of eligible under NFSA as per the rules.
Earlier series of delegations of locals met DDC Kishtwar at Padder and apprised him regarding their demands regarding smooth supply essential commodities in the area.
