POONCH, June 1: Even as heat wave has gripped several parts of Jammu region including Poonch city, the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department has miserably failed to provide proper water facilities to the people of Poonch.
With no respite from inadequate water supply, the people of Poonch city held protest demonstrations against the concerned department.
The residents of Poonch mohalla Kamsar while staging a protest alleged that the district administration Poonch has turned a blind eye towards water woes of the people of Poonch.
They said that district administration Poonch has failed to provide basic facilities to the common masses adding that water supply has not been made to their mohalla since last three days.
Later SHO Poonch Jatindar Raina came on spot and assured the protestors to ensure proper water supply. |
