Early Times Report KATHUA, June 1: A religious procession that began from District Reasi to commemorate 300th martyrdom day of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur reached here today. The procession was warmly welcomed at Kalibari by local devotees from Sikh Community at Kalibari from where it moved towards District Gurudwara Kathua wherein thousands on board devotees commemorate the martyrdom. The religious procession later on moved for Amritsar and other cities of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. While interacting with media, Baba Joginder Paul Singh first appreciated the devotional attitude of people living in Kathua and informed that Banda Singh Bhadhur who was first General of Sikh Ruler in India basically belonged to district Reasi of J&K, later on he joined Guru Gobind Singh in 1706. Guru Gobind Singh advised him to serve the people living in Sirhand, Haryana. The religious procession had commenced from Reasi and would culminate at Mehroli Delhi on June 9 under the supervision of 5 Payars (5 god's lovable men) and Baba Jatinder Paul Singh, 11th successor of Banda Singh Bahadur.
