Drug peddler held with 400 intoxicant capsules

Rajouri, Nov 12: Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, , Rajouri police today apprehended a notorious drug peddler and recovered 400 intoxicant capsules from his possession during a naka checking in the city. "The accused has been Identified as Zaheer Abass alias Zaheer Khunna s/o Abdul Salam resident of Bela Colony, police said. Police said, "After specific inputs reportedly provided by the arrested drug peddlers, Rajouri Police laid a naka on the main Abdullah Bridge this afternoon and apprehended the drug peddlers on way to hand over the consignment of intoxicant capsules (strictly prescription drug)."
"During a his frisking police recovered 400 Spasmo Proxivon (trade name) intoxicant capsules from his possession," Police said while adding, "he was arrested on the spot and was booked under FIR No 564/15 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act." They said the catch was made by the police team working under the supervision of Iftikhar Ahmed, Deputy SP (Operations) Rajouri. Meanwhile Police have also started a drive to unearth the modus operandi of the drug peddlers and their nexus with king pin.
