Early Times Report

Anantnag, Nov 12: Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba appointed Abu Mosa alias Hafiz it’s new Chief in Kashmir region.
In an issued statement to Early Times, the militant outfit which is trying to re-group and recruit more and more educated youth in Northern and Southern parts of Kashmir, also threatened to revenge the Killing of Udamphur militant attack mastermind Abu Qasim.
“Abu Mosa alias Hafiz is appointed as new Chief in Kashmir,” Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi quoting Lashkar Chief Mehmood Shah disclosed in a press statement.
He said that all the militants active in Kashmir have been directed to obey the orders of new Chief for ‘liberating’ Kashmir.
Lashkar-e-Toiba has also sought the support of Kashmiris. “We (Lashkar-e-Toiba) ask people to hold militant brothers in their mission as your support to militants itself is the support to freedom struggle,” statement written in Chaste Urdu reads. Lashkar-e-Toiba also threatened to revenge the Killing of Abu Qasim who was mastermind of Udamphur militant attack. “We will continue to irritate Indian establishment and security forces while as will revenge the killing of our dear commander Abdu Qasim,” spokesman said, adding elimination of ‘Informers’ have become inevitable as they are a slur in the name of society and needs to be curbed. Abdul Rehman alias Abu Qasim, a Pakistani Nationalist was gunned down in Kandipora area of Kulgam district by the security forces earlier on October 29. Jammu and Kashmir police has awarded 33 out of turn promotions to the police officers and constables for being part of the operation. Self styled Chief of militant outfit Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT), Abu Qasim, was carrying a reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head. He was active in Kashmir from last five years and was accused of masterminding the ambush on a Border Security Force (BSF) convoy in Udhampur onAugust 5 in which two troopers were killed and 10 more injured.
His killing is being observed as a major setback to LeT militant outfit. Earlier intelligence reports had suggested that slain close associate Abu Dujana will head of Lashkar-e-Toiba in Kashmir.
