2 disgruntled PDP MPs spew venom against party | Beigh levels alienation charges, Karra sounds wakeup call | | Javaid Naikoo Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 12: Two disgruntled PPD leaders are openly spewing venom against their own party. They have levelled charges of mistrust among common masses due to the PDP-BJP coalition and sounded wake up call for the party leadership. Not for the first time though, senior PDP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of the State, Muzaffar Hussain Beigh today alleged that PDP-BJP coalition Government is creating mistrust, alienation and cynicism among common masses of the state. Talking to media persons, Beigh while expressing fear over the functioning of PDP-BJP Government said that "it will lead to its (PDP's) annihilation." He said he assumed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed would send out a message from their Srinagar rally "that communalism of any kind would not be tolerated but when nothing such happened he felt disappointed like workers of his party according to him feels these days. Last week, a day before the Modi's pubic rally, Beigh had written an open letter to the Prime Minister on the alleged "intolerance in the country and failure of PDP-BJP alliance". Pertinently Beigh according to party sources was among few leaders who supported coalition with BJP last year after Assembly election threw up a scattered mandate. Tariq Hameed Karra, another disgruntled PDP leader after results of Bihar election said that rout to BJP in Bihar was a wakeup call for PDP as "door has been closed for communal forces." "Knock-knock PDP, Still time to wake up, Door closed on communal forces, Window of opportunity opened for secular forces, Knock knock PDP," Karra who represents central Kashmir in parliament said in a series of tweets following the thumping win of Grand Alliance in Bihar polls. He said the results of Bihar polls were an endorsement to the issues he had raised in Kashmir. "Issues I raised in Kashmir endorsed by Bihar verdict, Had msg (message) emanated from J&K by pull out from RSS-driven dispensation, it would have been stronger." Karra said in one Tweet. While lashing at PDP leadership for welcoming the Prime Minister';s economic package to Jammu and Kashmir, Karra said packages do not necessary win electoral acceptance. "If packages won electoral acceptance, @narendramodi , @AmitShah & @ DrMohan Bhagwat would've been celebrating all over chatter box today (sic)," he said. "Modi ji u remember when Atal ji publically snubbed you on Godhra episode in Gujrat u wer cm then, surely you must felt insulted that time, how could you do that to a Cm now (sic),"he said in another tweet. "It is dangerous to be right when system is wrong,"he added. Earlier also, Baigh along with Karra had stayed out of PDP party meetings on various occasions and duo also did not attend the PM's public rally here last week. |
