Early Times Report Udhampur, Nov 12: Seventeen persons including two infants and one minors were injured when a Mini Bus they were travelling met with an accident at Charni Phari near Majalta of Udhampur district. Four critically injured were referred to Govt Medical College for advanced treatment. According to police sources, a mini bus bearing regd No JK14D-5765 on its way from Ramkot to Manwal met with an accident near Charni Phari near Mjalta this evening at 06:00 pm when driver lost control over the vehicle and hit a road side hillock. "After receiving the information, Majalta police rushed to the spot and started rescue operation," police sources said. "The injured were shifted to PHC Majalta from where doctors referred four injured identified as Vijay Kumar, Pooja Devi, Soma Devi and Sham Singh to GMC Jammu whereas five injured namely Ranu Devi, Satya Devi, Vaishno Devi, Vijay Kumar and Ajay Kumar were referred to District Hospital (DH) Udhampur and one Rasal Singh was referred to Command Hospital Udhampur. Other injured persons identified as Tara Devi (55) wife of Davinder Lal of Gadh Tamha, Najeera Akhater (15)Daughter of Mohd Rafiq of Gadh Tamha, Sabina Bagam (22) wife of Bashir Ahmad of Khoon and his 1 year old Abdul Quam, Pooja Devi (19) wife of Sukhdev Singh of Panara, Kmaljeet Singh (52) son of karnal Singh of Majalta, Champa Devi (25) wife of Rattan Singh of Sudla, Ajay Kumar (28) son of Chaman Lal of Battal Balin Udhampur and two year old Mannat daughter of Rattan Lal of Sudlha. Meantime Majalta police have registered a case and started investigations in this regard. |
