JAMMU, Nov 12: Vidit Gawri shall take on Abhinav Gupta in the final, to be played on a later date, in the senior snooker event of the ongoing 23rd Jammu District Billiards and Snooker Championship, organised by J&K Billiards and Snooker Association, at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, in the semifinal, Abhinav was given a tough fight by experienced Sohail Khalid before latter lost the game 2-4. Winning the opening frame, Abhinav lost following two to go down 2-1.
However, he made a come-back and turned the tables against his opponent taking away the important game 4-2. The score: 55-29, 36-46, 40-56, 55-40, 60-32, 73-38)
In other semifinal, Vidit trounced Abhishek Pathania by a similar margin of 4-2 (51-29, 41-55, 71-34, 81-48, 38-62, 63-30). Today's semifinals, witnessed besides other senior cueists by general secretary, Vishal Abrol was present. |
