Srinagar, Nov 12: The union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh today stressed need for greater coordination between various security agencies. Singh chaired a meeting of BSF, CRPF and army intelligence officials at Delhi today. The meeting reviewed the overall security situation in Jammu Kashmir. The Home minister sought reports from the security agencies operating in Jammu Kashmir. The senior officials representing different security agencies briefed the meeting about the required steps to be taken to maintain law and order and ensure the security plan in the state,” he added. The union home minister also stressed need for better coordination among all sister agencies and the civil administration. “To foil any attempt by troublemakers to disrupt peaceful atmosphere, close liaison should be maintained at every level and the officers supervising different components should be briefed accordingly,” he said. Meanwhile sources said that, a high level team of MHA is likely to arrive in the state shortly. Sources told Early Times that the team headed by joint secretary level officer of MHA will visit Jammu and Kashmir for on spot security review arrangements. “The team is likely arriving here and will visit forward border posts of Jammu and Srinagar along the International Border (IB) for on spot review of the situation. Recent terror attacks by the militants after infiltration from across the border, more attempts by the militants to cross over and steps taken by the BSF to curb the intrusion bids would come up for high level review in the meeting,” sources said.
