Clear pending cases 10 years or beyond on fast track basis: CJ to JOs | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 16: According to a circular issued by Registrar General of J&K High Court M K Hanjura on the direction of Chief Justice in which Chief Justice J&K High Court N Paul Vasanthakumar directed Judicial Officers (JOs) to hear the cases pending for ten or more than 10 years should be listed and heard on fast track basis. Chief Justice desires to keep himself posted about the available figure of such cases in all the courts as to how many cases have been decided by each judicial officer so far and the information should be reached the Chief Justice's Secretariat in a week's time. Meanwhile in another circular Registrar General directed as per Circular No 4 dated March 3, 2015 of High Court in which High Court directed all the Special Judges trying the cases under the J&K Prevention of corruption Act to dispose of them in a time bound manner on priority basis and to submit a quarterly status report stage wife of each such case to Registry. He further said that the circular appear not to have been followed strictly and no such information has been made available and Chief Justice has desired that all such information be provided to this Registry within a week's time and any deviation on that count will be treated as indiscipline and shall be reflected in the ACRs of the Presiding Officers of each such court. --(JNF) |
